What is Glazer’s?
Glazer’s is one of the largest beverage distributors in the U.S. We represent a wide variety of wine, spirits, malt beverage and non-alcoholic suppliers in our 11 U.S. states, and employ over 6,000 people. We are the leading distributor by market share in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, and Arizona.

When was Glazer’s founded?
Glazer’s as a company started in 1909. In 1933, when Prohibition was repealed in the U.S., we became a beverage alcohol distribution company.

Who owns Glazer’s?
Glazer’s is owned by the Dallas-based Glazer family, and is on its 3rd generation of family ownership and management.

Who are Glazer’s leaders?
Glazer’s is led by family members Chairman and CEO Bennett Glazer, and Executive Vice Presidents Mike Glazer and Barkley Stuart. Glazer’s President is Jerry Cargill. He is supported by Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Mike Maxwell, and Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer Cary Rossel.

Where is Glazer’s located?
Glazer’s does business in 11 U.S. States: Arizona, Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Texas. Its corporate headquarters is located in Dallas, TX.

What is the Three-Tier System, and what is Glazer’s role within it?
Glazer’s is a distributor, which means that we purchase products from the supplier tier, and then sell them to the retail tier. The Three-Tier System is a federally mandated mechanism for the delivery of beverage alcohol in the U.S., and each state has its own rules and regulations to which distributors like Glazer’s must adhere.

Who are Glazer’s suppliers?
Glazer’s is a diversified beverage distributor, and today we do business with virtually every beverage alcohol supplier in the U.S. in at least one of our twelve states.

To whom does Glazer’s sell?
Depending on the state, we sell to customers who hold a retail license. This can include grocery stores, convenience stores, package stores, membership clubs, military installations, restaurants, bars, and hotels.

Describe Glazer’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives
In its 6th year, Glazer’s Community Partnerships has been at the forefront of the industry for educating the public on the dangers of underage drinking and drunk driving. We have established the Alcohol Safety Network and the Texas Safety Network, which are on-line portals for our stakeholders to get information and ideas on how to advance responsible drinking in our communities.

Every Glazer’s state and branch is an active and responsible member of the community. The list of non-profit organizations and social causes that we support is infinite, and Glazer’s takes pride in its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Can I purchase products on Glazers.com?
No. If you are a licensee in any of our states, you can purchase the products that we carry within that particular market by calling the appropriate local branch shown in our Locations section.

Can I purchase stock in Glazer’s? How do I get a copy of your annual report?
We are currently a privately held corporation and do not offer stock to the public, or release our financial information.

How can I register for Glazers.com?

I’m having trouble reading your site. Graphics don’t seem to work like they should. The type doesn’t display in a completely readable form. What’s wrong?
We have done our best to make this site work with most standard browsers. But some browser programs have significant differences. There are even big variations in versions of popular programs. This site is optimized for Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher. You can view most of our site with earlier versions of this and other browsers, but we recommend upgrading your browser. All upgrades are available free of charge from Microsoft. Just follow the directions you find on their sites.

I get an error message that says, "Cannot find the required plug-in" or "Plug-in Error: The plug-in requested did not download successfully." What does this mean?
This message indicates that the page being loaded requires what is known as a "plug-in." A plug-in is a program that extends the functionality of the browser. To view a page that requires a particular plug-in, you first must download and install it.
