Jim Dorsey
President, Glazer’s of Kansas, Kansas State Office

Jim directs and oversees all sales, administration and operations functions for the state of Kansas. He works closely with the Branch Managers and the General Sales Managers to develop strategy to ensure consistent execution of both corporate and vendor goals.
Jim began his career in the alcohol beverage industry in 1979 starting as a wine sales representative with Famous Brands Distributors in Topeka, KS. He progressed through roles with Famous Brands as Wine Sales Manager, Spirits Sales Manager, General Manager and President until 2001 when Glazer’s acquired Famous Brands along with two other Kansas competitors.
In 2002 and 2003, Jim served as Branch Manager for Glazer’s Midwest in Kansas City, MO. Since 2003, he has served as President for Glazer’s of Kansas. Jim is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a BA in Personnel Administration.


Curt Baird
Branch Manager and State Finance Administrator

Curt began his career in 1967 with State Distributors/Premier Beverage, Inc. in Hays, KS. He worked in various positions with the company in operations, purchasing, sales, office management and sales management prior to becoming Executive Vice President in 1987. He assumed his current position as the Branch Manager in Lenexa when Premier Beverage, Inc. was acquired by Glazer’s in 2001. He attended Ft. Hays State University in Hays, KS majoring in business administration.
Curt is responsible for all administrative, financial and operational aspects of the Lenexa Branch and has indirect oversight over sales. In addition, his other duties include management of the budget, inventory, fixed assets and other capital expenditures for the Kansas market.


Steve Bergstrom
Director of Sales- Jayhawk Division, Kansas State Office

Steve is responsible for the management of the spirit brands in the Jayhawk division of Glazer’s of Kansas. In this capacity, he works with the vendors of the Jayhawk brands to develop pricing and programming strategies to market the brands. In addition, he is responsible for the sales efforts of the Division Managers and sales representatives in the Jayhawk division for the state of Kansas.

Steve began his career in the beverage alcohol industry in 1985 working in a retail store in Lawrence, KS. He started in the distribution side of the business in 1989 with Famous Brands Distributors. He was recognized with the Distinguished Sales and Marketing award by the Sales and Marketing Executives in 1989.

In 1990, Steve took on additional duties as a brand manager and accepted a Sales Management position with the company in 1991. He assumed his current position as Director of Sales for the Jayhawk Division after Glazer’s purchased Famous Brands in 2001 and consolidated the company with two other Kansas competitors in 2003.

Steve has an associate degree in engineering from Hutchinson Community College, and bachelor degrees in Atmospheric Science and Broadcast Journalism from the University of Kansas.


Rick Heschmeyer
Director of Sales for the Sunflower and Domaines & Estates Divisions, Kansas State Office

Rick started in the industry in 1979 as a retailer. He joined Famous Brands Distributors in 1987. At Famous Brands he held several positions, including Fine Wine Sales Manager and Kansas City Regional Manager, eventually becoming the State Wine Sales Manager. He joined Glazer’s after the purchase of Famous Brands in 2001. Upon the merger of Famous Brands and Premier Beverage in 2003 he assumed his current position.

During his career, Rick has earned several commendations, including the Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award from Sales Marketing Executives, Certified Wine Specialist credentials from the Society of Wine Educators, the 2006 Industry Leader of the Year from the Kansas Association of Beverage Retailers, and he has successfully completed the Court of Master Sommelier introductory course. Rick attended the University of Kansas.


Glen Van De Linder
Sales Director-Tallgrass Division, Kansas State Office

Glen began his career in 1993 working for a wine retailer while attending the University of Kansas. Upon graduation in 1999, he started with Premier Beverage, Inc. as a Sales Representative in the Domaines & Estates Wine Division. After two years, he was promoted to Division Manager of the Tallgrass Wine Division. During this time, he successfully completed the Court of Master Sommeliers introductory course as well as the Society of Wine Educators Certified Specialist of Wine. In 2006, Glen was promoted to Sales Director of Tallgrass and is responsible for all sales related activities for the Division.


David Zaudke
General Sales Manager-Wines, Kansas State Office

David began his career in the wine industry in 1973, working for the E&J Gallo Winery as a sales representative. During his tenure with Gallo, he served in many capacities including State Manager and Area Manager in Gallo’s Midwest division.
In 1979, David joined Premier Beverage as a Wine Division State Manager and was eventually promoted to Vice President of Sales for Premier.
He assumed his current position as General Sales Manager for Wine, when Glazer’s acquired Premier in 2001. David is responsible for all sales related activities for Glazer’s three wine divisions.


Russ Flynn
General Sales Manager-Spirits and Malts, Kansas State Office

Russ is responsible for managing all on-premise and off-premise sales and marketing activities for all Spirits and Malt vendors in two selling divisions. Russ has been an active member of WSWA and WSWA CLD where he has held various leadership positions in the organizations.
Russ began his career in the industry as a manager of a retail liquor store in Manhattan, KS while earning his Marketing Degree at Kansas State University. After college, Russ joined Famous Brands Distributors where he worked as a Sales Representative and in a number of Sales Management positions before being promoted to Sr. Vice President/General Sales Manager. He assumed his current position as General Sales Manager for Spirits and Malts when Famous Brands was acquired by Glazer’s in 2001.


Bill Autrey
Director of Sales – Wildcat Division, Kansas State Office

Bill is responsible for the management of spirit and all beer brands. He develops pricing and programming strategies with vendors for the Wildcat division of Glazer’s of Kansas.
Bill began his career with the E&J Gallo Winery in 1985, after graduating from the University of Oklahoma with an Accounting Degree. He joined Premier Beverage as a District Wine Manager in 1987 and was promoted to State Wine Manager in 1989. In 1996, he accepted a position as State Spirit Manager. He assumed his current position as Director of Sales after the Glazer’s purchase of Premier Beverage in 2001.
